Excerpt from Did You Do Your Homework? Is Not Enough!
A baby recognizes its mother's voice while still in the womb. A patient hears the words of family members while in a coma. This is possible because even in an altered state there is potential for brain activity and for us to listen. Take the time to quietly talk with your children while they are sleeping. Tell them how creative, intelligent, beautiful, and loved they are. Let them know they are already leaders and that there's no limit to their successes. Within their sleep give them a sense of comfort and peace. Even as they are dreaming, they will hear you.
