DID YOU DO YOUR HOMEWORK? makes its N. Carolina debut as part of the 11th biennial National Black Theatre Festival at the Summit School Black Box Theatre, Aug 5-6, 2011. Originally slated for a one weekend, this 12 character tour de force ended a 9 month run at the Beverly Hills Playhouse in Beverly Hills CA and continues to be the longest running show in the history of that theatre company. Written, directed, and performed by Braxton (originally directed by Kathleen Rubin), the show has won the 2010 International Gala Star as well as the 2010 NAACP National Solo Theatre Award.

Featured on NBC News, Memphis Live at 9, NPR, WKNO-FM, The New York Post, and The Memphis Commercial Appeal, the show spotlights the realities; comical, tragic, and inspiring of the public school educational process and one teacher's journey through the bureaucracy of an inner city classroom.

BACKSTAGE has called the show, "Powerful! Braxton has honed a production using his talents as an actor, singer, and teacher to interpret his experiences. He is a compelling spokesperson."
